Library Services to Youth in Custody website – booklists, discussion forums, collection development resources and sample policies, and more. YALSA-Lockdown email list – booklists, program sharing, and a chance to hear from practitioners. The searchable archives are a great resource! ASCLA Library Services for Youth in Custody Interest Group – this new interest group has a discussion forum and is developing more resources. The Beat Within – a weekly publication of writing and art by incarcerated youth. Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention – this branch of the Dept. of Justice has research on youth in custody and offers grants that may be a funding source for library programs serving youth in custody. The National Reentry Resource Center provides research and resources for organizations who work with young people who are reintegrating into the community after adjudication.
